A Deadly Mission

When Cambridge, Massachusetts, College Chaplain, Olympia Brown, learns a homesick freshman is being recruited by a shadowy religious cult, she and colleague, Father Jim Sawicki, join forces to rescue the girl before she falls victim to the harsh discipline and is lost forever.

Over the summer, Olympia is restoring her haunted antique farmhouse when she hears another student, with connections to that same group, has died in a suspicious drowning accident.

Determined to learn more, Olympia persuades her son, Malcolm, to quietly investigate a rock concert and ‘Praise Rally’ run by the cult. But his identity is discovered and members go on a deadly offensive to protect their secrets and prevent further interference from Rev. Dr. Olympia Brown.

The story spirals in and out of a menacing tangle of religious hypocrisy and the dark side of human behavior as Rev. Olympia and Father Jim, occasionally assisted by Olympia’s house-ghost, the spectral Miss Winslow, risk their lives to save an innocent country girl from Bible-belt, Oklahoma. In the tension-filled narrative, the two clerics expose murder, illicit sex, and embezzlement in a race against time to put an end to the Deadly Mission of the Boston Christian Common Fellowship before they kill…again.
